Cannes Lions, the global benchmark for creative advertising and marketing communications, returns to the French Riviera for its 73rd edition. Every year, the festival honors the industry’s most innovative and influential ideas, celebrating the campaigns that shape the future of creativity and redefine the standards of modern marketing.

The 2026 edition is shaping up to be as competitive as ever. Brands, agencies, and creative companies from around the world are competing with their most ambitious work. As a point of reference, nearly 26,900 entries were submitted in 2025 across the festival’s 30 disciplines, ranging from Film and Print to Social & Creator, Creative Commerce, and Innovation. As an advertiser based in Amsterdam I keep a close eye on the Dutch advertising industry and the work developed in the country. Therefore below you will find the ranking of Dutch agencies and a detailed list of advertising campaigns from the Netherlands that have been shortlisted and/or awarded at Cannes Lions 2026. Dutch Agencies Ranking at Cannes Lions 2026

Based on the first three shortlist announcements, the Netherlands has secured its first appearance on the Cannes Lions 2026 scoreboard. The first Lions are set to be awarded on June 22, fingers crossed.

Official Cannes Lions 2026 scoring system: Titanium Grand Prix and Creative Effectiveness Grand Prix = 35 points; Grand Prix = 30 points; Titanium Lion = 30 points; Gold = 15 points; Silver = 7 points; Bronze = 3 points; Shortlist = 1 point (if a shortlist wins an award, the shortlist point is no longer counted). A maximum of 10 shortlist points can be awarded to a single agency.
