The Cannes Lions 2023 are just around the corner, and the Titanium category just revealed its shortlist, one of the legendary advertising festival’s most demanding categories. We can expect these campaigns to win big at this year’s Cannes Lions, but anyway being one of the only 17 campaigns shortlisted is this prestigious category is already a massive achievement. 

This year the Cannes Lions’ Titanium jury president is David Droga, CEO & Creative Chairman, of Accenture Song Global. Founder of Droga5, he’s been honoured with the ‘Lion of St. Mark’ at Cannes Lions 2017, the award that recognizes an individual who has made « a significant and outstanding contribution to creativity in our industry ».

In tribute to the advertising icon Dan Wieden, Co-Founder of Wieden+Kennedy, the Cannes Lions festival has renamed the Titanium Lions category to ‘The Dan Wieden Titanium Lions’ in November 2022, 2 months after his loss. Some of the categories past winners include Kiyan Prince – « Long Live The Prince » in 2022, Essity – « Women Pain Stories » in 2021, Burger King – « The Whopper Detour » in 2019 or even Palau Islands – « Palau Pledge » in 2018.
